SECRETS TO THE PERFECT YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS 🙂
- Use sunflower oil. Make sure it is bubbling slightly before pouring batter in.
2. Use a spoon under laddle when moving pour from one cup to another in tray- to catch drips- side spills stop the pudding rising!
3. Don’t open the fucking oven. Leave batter in oil cooking undisturbed for 20-25mins until puddings puff and brown slightly.
4. Be prepared to serve them immediately. If you want to eat fluffy. If you prefer a little chewiness cool or even refrigerate.
5. Definitely serve with a beef gravy and your choice of sweet conserve; we recommend fig and a bit of fresh garden rosemary.
6. Make more than you need. They are always a favourite and eating left-overs with jam next day is a fucking delight.
Toad in the Hole is much the same, just add some fat pork & fennel bangers.
